History, community, and recreation combined in the heart of Clapham where residents have been busy knitting more than 4,500 poppies – that’s the equivalent of one poppy for every resident.

The project highlights the respect that Clapham's community holds for those who have served their country. The village has been adorned with these handcrafted poppies, setting the stage for its traditional Remembrance Day parade and service at the War Memorial on Sunday, 12th November at 11am.

As the poppies blossom throughout the village, they are a poignant reminder of the collective commitment to honour the memory of those who served. As each poppy display takes shape, so does the spirit of remembrance and gratitude that envelops Clapham.
