KING GEORGE V PLAYING FIELD
Our village playing field operates as a charity dedicated to community sports and leisure.
Our facilities are designed to encourage a passion for any sport and nurture talent from an early age. Football enthusiasts can enjoy the benefits of full sized grass football pitches. Beautifully maintained pitches provide the perfect setting for a match with friends or team mates.
But it's not all about football! The playing field is an excellent feature for aspiring athletes as well as those who simply want to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of being outdoors, away from the noise of everyday life.
The King George V Playing Field is also a place where history, community and recreation come together. It stands as a testament to the resilience and sacrifice of those who fought in World Wars. The memorial mounted on the entrance gates honours the memory of those who gave their life for our freedom.
So whether you're a sports enthusiast, a history buff or someone simply seeking a beautiful outdoor space to in which to relax , our playing field offers something for everyone.
